Silver Metal Clay

For this workshop we will use PMC3 silver clay to sculpt your very own creation. When we fire the piece in our kiln it will transform into 99.9% pure silver - the results are always amazing!

Class Duration - 2 hours

Learn the basics of working with precious metal clay (fine silver). This insane material starts out as clay, and finishes as 99.9% pure fine silver. This is the third year we will be running this workshop, and it is a hit every time. Learn the science of how this magical alchemy works, and then create! With the materials supplied, students can create one large pendant, one medium pendant and earrings, or several small pendants/earrings.

At the end of class session, you will have dry clay pieces ready for the kiln. We will then take these home and fire them at our Indianapolis-area home studio, We will then meet back for a Saturday finishing session. During the finishing workshop we will clean, polish, and patina the pieces, and finally we will add chain or ear wires. 

Please register for BOTH sessions; I am not worried about the finishing workshop filling up but I don't want you to forget it!

* Note: this workshop is not recommended for werewolves or certain breeds of vampire due to the high silver content.
